Metro Stars - 14th anniversary by Lemi4 Metro Stars - 14th anniversary by Lemi4
Beforehand I must make clear that I fully accept that I really was meant to be fired from New Flava. My posting these is in no way an attempt to justify any personal thoughts implying that I think my firing was justifyable.

And I do acknowledge that I am in no way comparable to anyone having completed a bona-fide graphic design and/or visual communication degree.

And I also refuse to get into a pissing contest with Lurino; he'll just drag me down to his level and beat me up with his ugly stick. :P ^_^Y

Okay, this comment (if everything goes correctly should be attached to my first ever completed graphic work for New Flava. It was based on a brief that specifically asks for an image conveying a party and having a main theme of 14 stars. Even though the add is about a department store renovation sale (which happens to coincide with the store's 14th birthday).

update: in case noone noticed, I replaced this with a new version. The thing is there were several versions of this (obviously I gotta go through revisions) and I like the copy on the 2nd-to-last version but I like the graphics on the very-last version and I had wanted to combine the two for my posting here. And then I noticed I had posted the 2nd-to-last version so I reposted the mutant offshot version I had in my mind instead. Not much different though, is it?

I hang on to the past too much. Stuck.

the hand is reaching for the star, not necessarily depict a party scene... umm... despite all the disputes, this is really not shouting. depict a party pls...!!!!! [the fiesta condom postcard ad, for instance]

Ah... but then the problem would be METRO's personality. She's supposed to be an elegant, sophisticated, yet trendy lady.

Yet the killer critique (given by the client) is that they don't want a party at all.

(the part of the brief which wanted a party was designed by the AE and CD team, before I arrived at the scene)
